Even though fall isn’t officially here yet, it feels like a new season has started on Prime Video.

The streamer’s 10 most popular movies and shows list has undergone the most significant changes since the beginning of summer, with four new entries.

Two of those belong to the same franchise: The Terminal List and its new spinoff, The Terminal Life: Dark Wolf. Both feature Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch as Navy SEALs with grudges as big as their guns.

Another notable debut is the Prime Video original show The Runarounds, which focuses on a rock band trying to find success after high school.

Prime Video’s last big summer release was The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a spinoff of the streamer’s massively popular 2022 series starring Chris Pratt. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor is back as US Navy SEAL James Reece, but now he’s supporting Taylor Kitsch’s Ben Edwards, who’s front and center in this prequel series that consists of seven episodes.

Dark Wolf chronicles Edwards’ time as a soldier infiltrating the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is deep in negotiations of a landmark nuclear arms deal with America. Helping Ben out is fellow mercenary Raife Hastings (Tom Hopper), who has his own dark past to overcome.

All summers must end, even for teenage girls caught in hopelessly convoluted love triangles. Amazon’s popular YA series The Summer I Turned Pretty recently announced its forthcoming third season will be its last, so fans are catching up with the first two in time to give the series a proper goodbye.

Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) is a typical teenage girl who spends her summers by the beach, contemplating life.  Complications ensue when she falls for two childhood friends, Jeremiah and Conrad (Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney), who also happen to be brothers. Can the three teens remain friends while navigating the complicated affairs of the heart?

Prime Video has a new action hit in 2025, and it’s proving to be just as popular as past successes like Reacher and Jack Ryan. In Butterfly, Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim stars as David Jung, a skilled secret agent who faked his own death years ago.

He wants to reunite with his long-lost daughter, Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), but standing in his way is his old associate Juno (Piper Perabo), who is now Rebecca’s mentor. David is a man who always gets what he wants, but has his luck finally run out this time around?

Prime Video fans are in the mood for love by making The Map That Leads to You the most popular movie on Amazon right now. Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline plays Heather, who travels to Europe after graduation with her two best friends for some carefree fun before getting a job back in the States.

She eventually meets Jack (Riverdale’s KJ Apa), a hunky New Zealander who is travelling with a map his grandfather made of all the places he visited when he was younger. Heather and Jack love each other, but will their summertime romance be over once the season inevitably ends?

Amazon’s latest summertime hit is Countdown, an action series that should appeal to Reacher fans as well as dads all over the world.

Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles stars as Detective Mark Meachum, a rebellious LAPD cop who is investigating the mysterious death of a Department of Homeland Security officer. Of course, he uncovers a vast, shadowy conspiracy, and it’s up to him to stop it.

“I want to make love songs that change the world.” That’s an actual quote from Prime Video’s latest drama series, The Runarounds, which centers around a rock band of recent high school graduates who struggle to realize their dreams of musical stardom. It’s not all about the music, however, as lead singer Charlie (William Lipton) falls for a girl he thinks is out of his league.

A cross between Almost Famous and The Summer I Turned Pretty, The Runarounds is a show that’s best enjoyed as a fantasy rather than a realist portrait of post-graduate life.

Released earlier this year, Last Breath is now gaining an audience on Prime Video. Chris (Finn Cole), Duncan (Woody Harrelson) and David (Simu Liu) are saturation divers who maintain undersea gas lines in the North Sea.

While on a deep-sea expedition, they experience a catastrophic accident that causes Chris to drift away from his coworkers with only a limited amount of air and no way of communicating with the outside world. Now, Duncan and David must find a way to locate their missing friend before time runs out.

The success of the spinoff Dark Wolf has propelled the original series, The Terminal List, back into the top 10 three years after its initial release. In this action-heavy drama, Chris Pratt stars as US Navy SEAL James Reece, who must uncover a conspiracy involving previous members of his platoon.

Someone is hunting them down, and they’ll need to band together to find out who wants them eliminated.

Eddie Murphy is one of the most bankable stars of the last 40 years, and he’s still going strong in the streaming era. His latest movie, The Pickup, is a Prime Video exclusive and pairs the veteran comic with SNL alum Pete Davidson.

They star as a pair of armored car drivers, Russell and Travis, who are held hostage by a beautiful criminal, Zoe (Keke Palmer). She needs their help to steal millions from a casino, and Russell and Travis have nothing to lose except their low-paying jobs — and maybe their lives.

Bosch is one of Prime Video’s hit franchises, so it was only a matter of time before they released another spinoff to cash in on that show’s success. Ballard follows LAPD member Renée Ballard (Maggie Q) as she’s assigned to oversee a cold case division with a staff of volunteers. It’s a thankless task, but someone’s got to do it, and there’s no one better than Ballard to see it through.
