3 Must-Watch Sitcoms to Stream This Summer on Hulu, Peacock and Disney+

Summer is the perfect time for light and breezy content. You may break a sweat, but only because you’re laughing so hard.

In fact, summer and comedy go together like backyards and barbecue.

Watch With Us has picked out three sitcoms that embody the breezy spirit of summer. Two older favorites starring H. Jon Benjamin and Amy Poehler will have you chuckling with familiar affection, while a relative newcomer from Nick Kroll will appall and delight you.

Check out these summer sitcoms on Hulu, Disney+ and Peacock.

‘Bob’s Burgers’ (2011-Present)

Fire up the grill! We’re placing a big order at Bob’s Burgers, the best animated family sitcom on TV. The Belcher family — Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), Linda (John Roberts), Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman) and Louise (Kristen Schaal) — are total weirdos, and their pierside burger joint barely breaks even.

But through ups and downs, they have each other’s backs — and their antics are always entertaining. The series spans winter, spring, summer and fall, but the summer episodes are some of our favorites. We also highly recommend The Bob’s Burgers Movie, which is a summer vacation story.

‘Parks and Recreation’ (2009-2015)

Summer is all about getting outside and taking advantage of beaches, playgrounds and parks — but how do all those lovely public spaces get maintained? By your city’s parks department, of course! Parks and Recreation follows a group of well-meaning and kooky city officials in Pawnee, Indiana.

They’re led by the fearless and determined Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), whose tenacity and determination often shock the other apathetic or self-centered city officials. Parks and Rec has one of the best ensemble casts in TV history, including Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones and many more. We recommend starting with season 2 — that’s when the show really comes into its own.

‘Adults’ (2025-Present)

This new series from producer Nick Kroll feels like Friends, New Girl and Broad City were polyamorous parents to a beautiful, chaotic TV baby. It follows a group of roommates — Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Issa (Amita Rao), Anton (Owen Thiele) and the always dual-named Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) — trying to figure out how to be grown-ups in a cramped house in Queens.

Combining absurdly relatable moments with moments that are simply absurd, Adults is a hilarious ode to growing up when you’re technically supposed to be a grown-up already. (There’s also a multi-episode arc starring a hilarious and charming Charlie Cox.) It premiered in late May, making it technically a spring debut, but it’s worth watching in any season.
