90 Day Fiancé star Leida Margaretha denied all allegations of wrongdoing related to her newborn daughter’s death, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
Margaretha’s attorney, Taylor Hart, spoke to Us on Friday, July 18, following her arrest over issues with bond in an unrelated criminal case. Margaretha, 36, and ex Eric Rosenbrook’s baby Alisa Rosenbrook, died on July 8.
Hart told Us, “Sadly, on July 8, 2025, Alisa Rosenbrook (daughter of Eric and Leida) was removed from life support and passed away. Over the past two years, Leida and her husband tried desperately for a child.”
He continued, “They tried, and hoped, and prayed, but they unfortunately suffered many setbacks including multiple miscarriages. The loss of Alisa is a tragedy. Eric and Leida are both actively grieving and they ask for your privacy, sympathy and understanding during this difficult time.”
The details surrounding Alisa’s death are unknown.
Hart added, “Today, the cause and manner of Alisa’s death are unknown. Leida is extremely distraught and is still seeking answers for herself. She loved her baby beyond measure and is struggling with the emotions of losing her child.”
“There are many allegations of wrongdoing being levied against Leida. This is no surprise as she has endured years of unfounded negative publicity and social media attention since her appearance on 90 Day Fiancé in [2018]. Leida would have never harmed her child and she adamantly denies any allegations of wrongdoing,” he ended.
As Us previously reported, Rosenbrook, 47, announced the tragic news of Alisa’s death on his Facebook.
“It destroys me and shatters my world to announce that over the weekend tragedy has struck,” Rosenbrook wrote on July 10. “Yesterday at 12:53 PM after 5 days on life support, my beloved daughter, little Alisa Eleanor Rosenbrook, slipped the surely bonds to join her grandfather Tom.”
“I do not want well wishes or questions,” he added. “I will not answer anything, read or reply. I ask just for prayers for her.”
Alisa’s death came days after Rosenbrook was arrested on July 5 following an argument with Margaretha the previous day at her apartment. Margaretha accused Rosenbrook of slapping her.
Rosenbrook admitted to Us that he did hit his wife during an argument but denied he ever touched their daughter.
Rosenbrook told Us that they had split since the argument at her apartment.
Margaretha filed for a restraining order against Rosenbrook days after his arrest. The court granted a temporary restraining order requiring Rosenbrook to stay away from her. A hearing is scheduled for later this month on the matter.
Earlier this year, Margaretha was charged with mistreatment of animals, disorderly conduct and the bail jumping charge. Margaretha entered a plea of not guilty “by reason of mental disease [or]of defect or there is reason that mental disease or defect will otherwise become an [issue] as to the following crimes.”
Margaretha and Rosenbrook made their debut on season 6 of the hit TLC reality TV franchise 90 Day Fiancé in 2018. They quickly became a controversial couple due to the story line that showed Margaretha clashing with Rosenbrook’s children from a previous marriage.
