ADvTech opens first tertiary institution outside SA

JSE-listed ADvTech has launched its first tertiary institution outside South Africa with the opening of Rosebank International University College (RIUC) in Accra, Ghana.

Registrations for RIUC will open on 15 June 2025, ahead of the first academic semester starting on 1 September. A second enrolment cycle is planned for February 2026.

The new institution forms part of ADvTech’s broader tertiary division, which includes IIE Rosebank College and spans nine brands with 34 campuses across South Africa and Ghana.

The new campus is located in Accra’s Airport Residential Area and will offer a variety of accredited programmes, including diplomas and doctoral degrees in high-demand fields such as Business Administration, Digital Marketing, IT, Service Management, and Hospitality.

“We are delighted to launch our highly successful Rosebank International brand in Ghana, expanding our tertiary education footprint outside South Africa for the first time. We look forward to delivering the superior academic outcomes and excellent student experiences we are known for in South Africa in Accra,” said ADvTech Group CEO, Geoff Whyte.

The Ghana expansion follows ADvTech’s growing international footprint, which includes operations in Kenya, Botswana, and Ethiopia. The RIUC campus will feature enhanced student support, including academic, digital, and financial literacy programmes, as well as facial recognition security systems.
