Agri & Farmer Income: Rs 4,000 direct aid to farmers; state government's step toward self-reliant farming

The Madhya Pradesh government is offering financial aid through a scheme called the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana to help poor farmers across the state. The main goal of this scheme is to improve the financial condition of farmers and provide them with money to support their farming activities.

Under this scheme, farmers will receive Rs 4,000 every year, given in two instalments of Rs 2,000 each, aimed at making farmers self-reliant and increasing their income.

Who is eligible for the scheme?

To apply for this scheme, farmers must meet the following conditions: they should be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh, registered under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, own cultivable land, and be actively involved in farming.

Who is not eligible?

The following individuals are not eligible for the scheme:

• People holding or who have held constitutional posts
• Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Mayors, and District Panchayat Chairpersons
• Government employees (except Class IV/Group D staff)
• Pensioners with a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 or more
• People who have paid income tax in the last year
• Professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects who are actively practicing.

To apply, you must attach the following documents:

• PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Registration Number
• Aadhar Card
• Documents related to agricultural land
• Proof of domicile (any one of the following):
• Basic address proof
• Voter ID card
• Electricity bill

How to apply for the scheme?

Eligible farmers can apply by following a simple process. Here is a step-by-step guide to apply for the scheme:

• Step 1: Download the application form from the official website or collect it from your village Patwari office.
• Step 2: Fill out the application form carefully with accurate personal and farming details.
• Step 3: Attach the required documents (listed below).
• Step 4: Submit the completed application form along with all documents to the village Patwari.
• Step 5: The Patwari will process and approve the application.
• Step 6: Once approved, you will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number and email ID.
