Apple launches Watch Series 11 with 5G and new health features, unveils affordable SE 3 and rugged Ultra 3

Apple Awe-Dropping Event: Apple has officially announced the Apple Watch Series 11, bringing new levels of durability, connectivity, and health-focused innovation. While it closely resembles its predecessors in design, the Series 11 introduces several firsts for Apple’s smartwatch lineup.

First Apple Watch with 5G connectivity

The Series 11 marks Apple’s debut of 5G support in a smartwatch, a major upgrade from the 4G LTE standard on earlier models. Apple says this enables faster, more reliable connectivity wherever you are, complementing the watch’s other advanced features.

Apple Watch Series 11: Breakthrough in health monitoring

For the first time, Apple Watch will be able to monitor hypertension and chronic high blood pressure by analyzing health data collected over the past 30 days. The new model also includes a Sleep Score feature, which evaluates time asleep, sleep stages, and other metrics to provide a clearer picture of nightly rest quality.

Durability and design updates

Apple has equipped the Series 11 with IonX glass that it claims is twice as scratch-resistant as before, along with a ceramic coating for added strength. The smartwatch will be available in Jet Black, Silver, Rose Gold, Space Gray, and new titanium finishes in Natural Gold and Slate, all made with 100% recycled materials.

watchOS 26 brings smart gestures and Apple intelligence

Launching alongside the Series 11 is watchOS 26, which introduces wrist flick gestures to dismiss calls and notifications, an enhanced Smart Stack, and the Workout Buddy feature powered by Apple Intelligence. Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language also debuts, offering a fresh aesthetic across the interface.

Apple Watch Series 11: Battery and pricing

Apple claims the Series 11 can deliver up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, though real-world performance will determine how it holds up. Pricing starts at $399, with preorders open now and shipping scheduled for September 19.

Apple Watch SE 3: Affordable Upgrade with 5G

Alongside the flagship, Apple introduced the Apple Watch SE 3. Powered by the S10 chip, it brings features like wrist temperature sensing, ovulation estimates, sleep apnea notifications, and 5G connectivity at a lower price point. The SE 3 also includes fast charging, an Always-On display, and the same new gestures as its premium sibling. Availability begins September 19.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: Built for the extreme

Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 3, its most advanced model yet. Designed for explorers and athletes, it now supports satellite communication, letting users send emergency messages or share their location off the grid. With the largest display ever on an Apple Watch, 5G, precision GPS, and up to 42 hours of battery life (72 in Low Power Mode), the Ultra 3 is positioned as the ultimate adventure smartwatch.
