Apple set to unveil iPhone 17 series & more at ‘Awe Dropping’ event on September 9

Apple Event iPhone 17 Launch: Apple is all set to launch its next-generation smartphones, the iPhone 17 series, on Tuesday, September 9. The company has officially announced its "Awe Dropping" event, which will begin at 10:30 PM IST at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.

What to expect from Apple's ‘Awe Dropping’ event?

During this annual event, the company is going to share more details about the iPhone 17 lineup. According to an IANS report, Apple may launch a regular and two Pro phones, and replace the Plus phone with a new and thinner iPhone 17 Air model. The Air device is expected to be 5.5 mm thick and have a 6.6-inch screen.

This will make the new iPhone 17 Air 0.08 inches thinner than the current-generation model, reports IANS. The base iPhone 17 is reported to have a new and larger 6.3-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate instead of last year's 60Hz.

The tech giant is also expected to update the Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3 devices. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be a notable update to these three, with a bigger screen and faster charging support.

Apple may also announce the AirPods Pro 3 at its upcoming event, three years after the release of the previous-generation Pro AirPods.

Plus, this is another opportunity for Apple to talk about the future of Apple Intelligence features, such as the revival of its Liquid Glass software and AI upgrades to Siri, The Verge reports.
