Cierra Ortega Says ‘Love Island USA’ Cast Must Wear Bikinis Daily

Cierra Ortega got real about having to wear a bikini every day on Love Island USA.

Cierra, 25, opened up about wearing a swimsuit daily while appearing on season 7 of the reality show, sharing it was actually a requirement for the cast. “So many days I woke up and did not want to put a bikini on,” she said via TikTok on Sunday, July 27, while answering fans’ questions.

“Especially after eating all of the pancakes and all of the cookies the night before. I was like, ‘Damn. Can we wear workout clothes?’” she explained, noting that the cast often had “munchies” at nighttime and would be up late snacking.

“They were very strict. Like, ‘No. Girls, you have to be in bikinis, and you have 30 minutes to get yourself together to do so,’” she added.

Fans reacted to Cierra’s revelation in the comments section. “Being forced to wear bikinis is crazy,” one wrote, while a second added, “30 mins to get ready AND a bikini is my nightmare.” A third fan admitted they thought the cast opted for bikinis every day, commenting, “Being forced to wear bikinis/revealing clothes 24/7 would make me crash out, I always thought it was the islanders who chose too, no wonder older seasons were always looking more comfortable 😭.”

Cierra’s Q&A comes after she was removed from the villa amid a racism scandal. In a separate social media post, she shared that she will not be attending the season’s reunion, which is set to air on August 25.

“At this point in time, I will not be at the reunion,” she explained. “So I feel lighter knowing that my perspective and my thoughts and my feelings and my emotions are out there.”

“I will never shy away from the fact that the experience did end negatively because of my own actions,” Cierra added. “And that is something I will have to deal with, but I will say this whole thing has been amazing in so many great ways.”
