India has got a big relief due to the slowdown in the spread of the new variant of COVID-19 infection. For the third consecutive day, a decline in the cases of Covid infection has been recorded in India. According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, active cases across the country have come down to below 7,000.
In the last 24 hours, 428 cases of COVID-19 infection have come down in a single day across the country. With this, the number of active cases has now come down to 6836. Earlier on Monday, there was a decline of 119 in the cases of infection.
According to the Health Ministry, Kerala has seen the maximum reduction of 261 cases in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 185 cases have been reduced in Gujarat, 94 in Delhi, 28 in Maharashtra, 18 in Andhra Pradesh, 13 in Sikkim, 3 in Assam, 1 each in Telangana-Bihar-Chhattisgarh and Goa. After this decline, the total number of cases in Kerala is now 1659. Currently, there are 1,248 active cases in Gujarat, 696 in Karnataka, 555 in Delhi, 512 in Maharashtra, 278 in Uttar Pradesh, 251 in Rajasthan, 222 in Tamil Nadu, and 103 in Haryana.
