Destination X's Ally Bross Is Dating Mack Fitzgerald After Shayne Showmance

Even though Ally Bross enjoyed a Destination X showmance with Shayne Cureton, it was actually costar Mack Fitzgerald who won her heart after leaving the blacked-out bus.

“Turns out I DID win Destination X. In a shocking twist, I found my soulmate,” Ally, 25, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, July 17, two days after fans watched her elimination on the NBC series. “To the ends of the earth. I love you, Mack 🤍.”

Mack, 30, replied in the comments section, writing, “I love you ❤️❤️❤️.”

Ally and Mack both appeared on the first season of NBC’s Destination X competition, hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. On the travel show, Ally notably found a connection with male model Shayne, 33. It wasn’t until her elimination in the semifinals that she got back in touch with attorney Mack.

“I had found her Destination X water bottle on the bus, and I nabbed it,” Ally recalled to Out magazine in an interview published on Thursday. “And I was like, ‘I’m going to bring it back to her.’ So I brought it back to her, and then we started hanging out a lot.”

Ally, who had previously only dated men, started traveling around the globe with Mack.

“While we were in Finland, we were staying in this tiny little cabin that had just these two little twin beds. I don’t know if it’s in the Finnish air or something, but I just suddenly had such a big crush on Mack,” Ally added to the outlet. “I was feeling like, ‘Wait, this is way bigger than what it was before.’ Before I knew I really wanted Mack to like me, I really wanted her around all the time. I was sad when she would leave my house. But it was really in Finland where I realized I had feelings for her.”

Mack, for her part, told the publication that she previously identified as asexual but started questioning her identity after feeling “butterflies” while hanging out with Ally.

“I felt like everything inside of me exploded in a way that had never happened when I’d ever kissed anybody,” Mack gushed of their first kiss. “I was just like, ‘Holy s***, this is what people are talking about. Fireworks and butterflies.’ I still can’t stop thinking about it even though we’re together.”

In a follow-up post on her Instagram, Mack explained that she had “been confused about [her] sexuality” for the majority of her life.

“I knew I didn’t feel the same way about boys as other girls did but I also never felt attracted to any girls, so I didn’t really know where that left me,” Mack wrote via Instagram. “A few years ago, I heard the term asexual for the first time (from Bojack) and resolved that that was probably me. I also thought everyone was lying about being in love. I thought it was pathetic and embarrassing and desperate and that everyone was just afraid of being independent, so they pretended to be in love. … Then, I got to know Ally and everything changed. Now I think love is real and amazing and the best.”
