US President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced the shifting of the US Space Command from Colorado to Alabama.
The announcement marks a shift from a Biden-era decision to keep the facility at its temporary headquarters in Colorado.
Earlier, the then US President Joe Biden had decided to keep the facility at its temporary location in Colorado despite a ruling by the Trump 1.0 administration in 2021.
Historically, Colorado has been known to be a Democratic western American state, whereas the southern state of Alabama has been Republican.
