Jason Kelce is ready for Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

On Tuesday, August 12, Kelce, 37, reshared the “New Heights” teaser clip where Swift, 35, announced her 12th record and included a gif that read “It’s go time.”

Earlier that day, the “New Heights” account dropped a teaser of Swift appearing on Jason and Travis Kelce’s podcast. While chatting with her boyfriend and his brother, Swift decided to unveil her latest era.

“So I wanted to show you something,” Swift told Travis, also 35, and Jason before picking up a briefcase with her initials emblazoned on the front in orange font.

While Travis looked excited, Jason was intrigued.

“What do we got?” he said, noting that the case was mint green and orange with “TS” on it. “What’s in it?”

As Swift opened the case, she took out her new record, which had been blurred in the clip.

“This is my brand-new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” she said.

Jason subsequently screamed with delight, while Travis could not contain his excitement.

TS 12!” Travis gushed.

Before the surprise announcement, Jason and Travis confirmed that Swift was finally making her “New Heights” debut. The official podcast account dropped a teaser video that featured Swift and Travis sitting side by side in the football player’s podcasting studio.

“That’s such a great color on you,” Swift said to her boyfriend. “Yes, I know, it’s the color of your eyes, sweetie, that’s why we match so well,” he replied. Swift laughed before she quipped, “I’m about to do a f***ing podcast!”

Swift’s full podcast appearance drops on Wednesday, August 13.

In addition to the “New Heights” announcement, Swift updated her official website at 12:12 a.m. The page previously had a countdown on it for her surprise announcement. It was ultimately replaced by graphics of a vinyl, cassette and CD with a poster to preorder the album. The images are covered by a sparkling orange lock. A release date has yet to be announced.

Swift also updated her social media profile pictures to include the same orange lock on a green background.

The Life of a Showgirl comes more than a year after Swift dropped her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department. Following the album’s release in April 2024, many Swifties theorized that a new album was in the works especially after she added multiple orange costumes to her Eras Tour lineup.

The theory got more traction when Swift’s in-house marketing team, Taylor Nation, shared a series of snaps via Instagram on Monday, August 11, which featured the pop star rocking the orange looks and captioned the post, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’ ❤️‍🔥.”
