IndiGo Delhi-Kolkata Flight: A passenger on IndiGo flight 6E 6571 from Delhi to Kolkata on September 1 was handed over to security authorities for allegedly misbehaving with the cabin crew and disturbing fellow passengers, the airline said in a statement on Wednesday.

The commotion started when an argument broke out between the passenger and the airline crew. The main reason for the dispute was the slogan 'Har Har Mahadev', which the passenger was allegedly chanting repeatedly.

What actually happened?

According to the information, the flight, already delayed by three hours due to operational issues, was parked at the parking area of the Delhi airport. Meanwhile, a passenger sitting on seat 31D, who is said to be a lawyer by profession, was heard chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and encouraging others to join in.

According to the crew, the passenger appeared intoxicated. He allegedly had a soft drink bottle that smelled of alcohol and tried to hide it. When questioned, he quickly consumed the contents.

Passenger Denies Allegations

The passenger completely denied the airline's allegations. He admitted that he had consumed beer at IGI Airport before boarding the plane, for which he also has the bill. However, he categorically stated that he had not consumed alcohol on board the flight and that he had only greeted the crew by saying 'Har Har Mahadev' and had no disrespectful or religious intention.
