IndiGo, a leading airline, on Wednesday, May 21, announced its global expansion with the launch of its first-ever service connecting Mumbai and Manchester.
From July 1, 2025, the airline firm will be the only one to offer nonstop flights between India’s financial capital and Northern England.
The new route will operate three times a week — every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday — using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
Flight timings
Flight 6E 0031 will depart Mumbai at 4:15 am and arrive in Manchester at 9:15 am local time.
The return flight, 6E 0032, will leave Manchester at 12:00 PM and land in Mumbai at 1:35 am the following day.
Features
In this upgrade, the airline will serve complimentary hot meals and beverages to all passengers on the Mumbai–Manchester route.
Economy class customers will receive vegetarian meals and non-alcoholic drinks at no extra cost, with the option to pre-book non-vegetarian meals. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase in economy.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft deployed on this route features a modern wide-body configuration with 56 IndiGoStretch seats in a spacious 2-3-2 layout with 43-inch seat pitch.
The economy cabin comprises 282 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, each with a generous 31-inch pitch.
