Jack Osbourne's Wife Honors 'Coolest Father-in-Law' Ozzy After His Death

Jack Osbourne‘s wife, Aree Gearhart, is speaking out following the death of father-in-law Ozzy Osbourne.

“I’m pretty sure I have the coolest father in law around, and the best papa to my kids,” she wrote via Instagram on Sunday, August 3, sharing a handful of family photos with the late musician. “The world got a rockstar but we got an ice lolly loving, goofy, big hearted guy who made us laugh like no other.”

Her tribute continued: “He was always in my corner and I forever am thankful to him for raising my husband and blessing me w my family. We got Nana always, Papa. Keep giving us all those signs from above 🖤✨We’ll keep your name loud, your stories alive, and your love wrapped around us like armor. Forever our guy.”

The first pic in the slideshow featured Gearhart posing beside Ozzy on her and Jack’s wedding day. Ozzy looked dapper in an emerald green suit, wearing his signature round glasses and standing with a cane. Gearhart, meanwhile, was glowing in bridal white.

Gearhart tied the knot with Jack — the son of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne — in 2023. The couple share 3-year-old daughter Maple. (Jack is also the father of daughters Pearl, 13, Andie, 10, Minnie, 7, with ex-wife Lisa Stelly.)

In her tribute, Gearhart gave a glimpse of Ozzy’s family life, sharing photos of the rock legend getting cozy on the couch with his grandchildren. Another sweet pic showed Ozzy and his extended family wearing matching Santa hats for the holidays.

The Osbournes announced Ozzy’s death at age 76 in a statement to Us Weekly on July 22 following his battle with Parkinson’s disease. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the statement read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

Along with Jack, Ozzy shared daughters Aimee and Kelly with Sharon, as well as three children with ex-wife Thelma Riley.

Ozzy’s loved ones gathered for an emotional funeral procession through his hometown in Birmingham, England, one week after his death. Kelly was photographed comforting her mother with Jack and Aimee nearby. Ozzy was later laid to rest beside a lake at his Buckinghamshire home, per reports.

While Jack has yet to share an official statement after his father’s death, his sister Kelly broke her silence with a heartfelt message posted via social media on July 24.

“I feel unhappy I am so sad,” she wrote. “I lost the best friend I ever had.”

Stelly, who was married to Jack from 2012 to 2019, also paid tribute to Ozzy with a sweet Instagram post. “The world got Ozzy. We got Papa. One of one. Larger than life. It hurts to say goodbye, but what a gift it was to have him. We will never stop missing you,” she wrote last month.
