Jason Kelce doesn’t mind being told what to do by his wife, Kylie Kelce.
During the Wednesday, July 16, episode of “New Heights,” Jason and his brother, Travis Kelce, answered a question from their fan hotline about how to “gentle parent” a spouse into helping out with chores around the house without “nagging” too much.
The retired NFL star, 37, was quick to share his hot take. “I think that what I respond to really well is nagging,” he said. “Please nag the f*** outta me. Tell me to get my lazy ass up and take the goddamn trash out. If you tell me to take the trash out, I’m not gonna be like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe she’s telling me to take the trash out.’ I’m gonna be like, ‘Yeah, you’re right.'”
What might be considered nagging to others is simply a helpful reminder for Jason, who has been married to Kylie, 33, since 2018. “I like the nagging and I need it,” he continued. “Because I get caught in my own thoughts and I forget to do things.”
Travis, 35, laughed and agreed that procrastination is “the Kelce way.” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who is dating Taylor Swift, explained, “We think a lot about s*** that kinda doesn’t really matter, but in our mind, we wander. We wander into possibilities.”
Jason added that he’s “constantly telling Kylie” to nag him more. “She’s like, ‘Jason, I don’t wanna tell you to do these things,'” he said. “And I’m like, ‘I get that, but it’s not gonna get done unless you tell me to do it.’ … I am pro-nagging. I think nagging is a great thing to do.”
He took his stance one step further, declaring, “If you have a spouse that is against nagging of things that he should be doing, you probably got a s***ty husband. … He’s the issue here, not you telling him to do his f***ing job.”
Travis and his brother pointed out that they’re both highly “coachable” after spending their lives on the football field. “Just get a whistle,” Travis quipped. “Everybody knows a whistle in somewhere like a house is an alarming thing. Like, ‘What the f*** is this?'”
For Jason, however, the privilege of nagging doesn’t go both ways. “I have never, ever — and I will never, ever — tell Kylie to do something around the house,” he said. “She does enough.”

Kylie has certainly had her hands full since welcoming the couple’s fourth daughter, Finn, in March and launching her own podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” last fall. Since the show began, Kylie hasn’t shied away from discussing the not-so-glamorous realities of parenting.
Earlier this month, Kylie shared her support for “feral child summer,” revealing which of Finn’s older siblings — Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2 — is the most chaotic at home.
“For a very long time, I thought for sure it was Elliotte,” she said on her podcast. “No one was going to rival her [and] she was going to take home the title no matter who came along because she achieved the utmost level of feral. And then, Bennett turned 2. That one is tactical and feral, which is more threatening and concerning. She is the child who is licking surfaces … and also she’s constantly scheming.”
