The number of job openings dipped to 7.437M, about in line with the 7.400M consensus, from 7.712M openings in May (revised from 7.769M), according to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Tuesday.

Job openings rate: 4.4% vs. 4.6% in May.

Quits rate: 2.0% vs. 2.1% prior.
