Stock market today: Shares of JSW Infrastructure rose 2 per cent in morning trade on Wednesday, following the company’s robust Q1 results and a strategic announcement of a major capex plan to scale its logistics segment. The stock gained traction after reporting double-digit growth in revenue and profit, despite a contraction in margins.

JSW Infrastructure Q1 Results

For the quarter ended June (Q1FY26), consolidated net profit surged 31.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 389.57 crore, up from Rs 296.55 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,223.85 crore, rising 21.2 per cent from Rs 1,009.77 crore in Q1FY25. Sequentially, revenue remained stable compared to Rs 1,283.18 crore in Q4FY25.

EBITDA for the quarter rose 12.9 per cent to Rs 581.7 crore. However, the EBITDA margin declined to 47.5 per cent from 51.0 per cent last year, reflecting cost pressures or changes in the business mix.

Rs 9,000 Crore Capex to Expand Logistics Segment

JSW Infrastructure’s board has approved a Rs 9,000 crore capital expenditure plan aimed at expanding its logistics segment. The company has set an ambitious revenue target of Rs 8,000 crore from this vertical, with a guided EBITDA margin of 25 per cent.

Analysts View on JSW Infra: Should You Buy, Sell or Hold

Jefferies maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on JSW Infra with a target price of Rs 375, citing strong third-party cargo volumes (52 per cent in Q1), improving performance at Navkar, and the company’s growth potential. It emphasised that volume recovery will be key going forward.

On the flip side, CLSA reiterated a ‘Reduce’ rating with a target price of Rs 230, cautioning that the stock’s current valuation already factors in much of the optimism, making near-term upside limited.

Despite a dip in margins, JSW Infrastructure's solid Q1 results and bold expansion into logistics could support long-term growth. With analysts split on valuation, the stock remains a high-interest play for investors tracking infrastructure and logistics.
