These offers apply to Kia’s most popular cars, ensuring that buyers in every region can find value this festive season.

Kia’s festive push

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Joonsu Cho, CSO, Kia India, said: “Festivals are about joy, togetherness & new beginnings and at Kia, we want to make this season even more special for our customers. With exclusive Pre-GST savings and festive benefits, customers now have the chance to drive home their favourite Kia with unmatched value. As we believe that owning a Kia is not just about driving a car, but about adding comfort, style, and happiness to everyday life. We invite customers to visit us and experience the joy of starting their festive journey with Kia.”

GST 2.0 brings broad relief to car buyers

The festive offer comes at a time when GST 2.0 has drive  a major reduction in car prices across India. The GST Council, in its 56th meeting, reduced the broad automobile tax rate by 10 percentage points to 18 per cent. This has brought down prices across all segments--from budget hatchbacks to premium SUVs.

As a result, buyers are saving anywhere between Rs 65,000 and Rs 3.5 lakh, depending on the model and brand. Automakers such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Toyota, Skoda, Renault, and Kia have all passed on these benefits to customers.

GST 2.0: How tax slabs have changed

Under GST 2.0, small petrol, hybrid, LPG, and CNG cars (under 1200 cc and 4 metres in length) are now taxed at 18 per cent, down from 28 per cent. Diesel and diesel-hybrid cars under 1500 cc also fall under the same slab. Three-wheelers and motorcycles up to 350 cc now attract 18 per cent GST, down from 28 per cent.

While smaller vehicles are cheaper under the new regime, mid-size, large, and luxury cars are still taxed at a higher rate of 40 per cent. EVs continue to enjoy a 5 per cent GST, while hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs) now benefit from a reduced 5 per cent slab, down from 12 per cent.
