Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks first fueled romance rumors in December 2019, and the couple have continued to grow closer since. The actor was first spotted with Brooks at lunch with his parents in Byron Bay, Australia. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that Hemsworth "feels comfortable" with the model. While the pair have kept a low profile when it comes to their relationship, an insider told Us in September 2020 that “Liam and Gabriella are really close,” noting that the couple “connect over important topics and share the same values about family and life.” In fact, the pair have shared major milestones together and Hemsworth could be ready to take the next step in the future. “Liam looks up to his brothers and would love to one day also have that long-lasting marriage with a partner,” a source told Us in May 2021. “He’s ready to be a husband — he just wants to be super confident in his relationship with Gabriella before he gets down on one knee!” Relive the couple’s romance by scrolling through the photos below:

The couple were spotted grabbing lunch with Hemsworth's parents, Craig and Leonie, in December 2019.

“His family approves of her and really likes her, which is very important to him,” a source told Us about the meeting during the same month.

A source exclusively told Us that the duo were took a big step forward in their relationship.

"Liam and Gabriella are going strong and have been quarantining together and enjoying their time in Byron Bay," the source shared. "Liam has some movie projects coming up and is happy to be living in Australia and being able to spend his downtime with Gabriella."

Liam and his girlfriend celebrated with the actor's oldest brother, Luke Hemsworth, at his 40th birthday party in November 2020.

Chris Hemsworth shared a photo of the family and their significant others all dressed in 1920s Peaky Blinders-inspired costumes for the event.

The twosome had fun with Chris and his wife, Elsa Pataky, during a celebration for the older brother in March 2021.

“Fantastic night raising much needed funds and awareness for one of the most important and challenging issues, children’s mental health,” the Most Dangerous Game star captioned a series of photos from the couple’s evening out in June 2021. “Thank you @itsmondotcom for hosting the evening and all you do for the Sydney children’s hospital @sydney_kids #golddinner.”

The duo posed alongside Liam’s brother Chris and his wife before heading into the event. They later cozied up to one another at their rowdy table.

“My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me,” Brooks opened up about their private relationship during an interview with Stellar magazine. “And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. I completely understand [the interest in our relationship]. But at the end of the day, I guess I just like having that for me.”

After calling her beau “great,” she also confirmed that the pair have relocated to Los Angeles together after quarantining in Australia amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“[The Hemsworth family] are great,” she revealed to the outlet. “They are the most beautiful people and I'm very lucky to know them.”

Pataky shared group snaps from the Hemsworth family’s Christmas celebrations, which included the Australian model.

Liam and Brooks made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Sydney premiere of his film, Poker Face. He held the model close as they posed for photos and held her hand as they chatted with his sister-in-law Pataky.

Brooks shared a photo of her boyfriend swimming in the ocean, writing via Instagram, "It's Liam day."

“Had an awesome day at #AbuDhabiGP!” Liam captioned a series of photos via Instagram after attending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with his girlfriend. “Walking the grid before the race was wild! Big thanks for having us all. Looking forward to the next one!☝️.”

Brooks, meanwhile, called the vacation the “trip of my dreaaams!” via social media. The couple both shared a video of them walking hand in hand on the track before the race and later posted pictures of their adventures in the desert.

Brooks shared rare photos from their date night at the ballet via Instagram in December 2024. In one image, Liam placed a hand on her waist while they walked through the event, and in another, they posed for a sweet mirror selfie.

In celebration of Hemsworth’s 35th birthday, Brooks shared a collage of new photos featuring the happy couple.

“Happy Birthday to my sunshine 💛,” she wrote via Instagram on January 13. 

Brooks announced via Instagram that Hemsworth proposed, captioning a series of photos of her diamond ring with a white heart emoji.
