Marilyn Manson and More Artists Attend Ozzy Osbourne’s England Funeral

Ozzy Osbourne was laid to rest at his private estate in Buckinghamshire, England, after several world-famous musicians attended his funeral.

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Marilyn Manson and his wife, Lindsay Usich, Rob Zombie, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and Osbourne’s lead guitarist Zakk Wylde attended the private memorial service on Thursday, July 31.

A huge floral tribute was seen at the mansion that spelled out “Ozzy f***ing Osbourne.”

The memorial comes just one day after Osbourne’s family and friends came together in Birmingham, England, for a funeral procession. Guests including Kelly, Jack and Aimee Osbourne were seen getting emotional as they prepared to say goodbye to their father.

Ozzy died on July 22 at age 76 following a battle with Parkinson’s disease.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

The day after his death, Ozzy’s sisters Jean Powell and Gillian Hemming shared their reaction in an interview with The Mirror.

“He was frail, but it still came as a shock,” Powell told the outlet on July 23. “He still had plans and things he wanted to do.”

As the world mourned Ozzy, his sisters remembered their brother, whom they called by his real name, John.

“To us, he was our brother, not a celebrity, so it’s crazy to see the outpouring of love since his death was announced,” Powell said. “We just can’t believe he is gone, and we won’t be getting another phone call or text from him. Every week, without fail, he would get in touch.”

Powell and Hemming had recently reunited with Ozzy at Black Sabbath’s farewell concert in Birmingham, England, on July 5.

“It was upsetting because he could not stand up straight, but he was still our John, still cracking jokes,” Powell noted, adding that the siblings “didn’t really get a chance to chat much because it was such a chaotic visit” and were hoping to see Ozzy the week of his death.

Despite the missed opportunity to spend more time together, Hemming gushed that they were “proud as punch about him and everything he achieved.”

“But it never went to his head. What the public saw of John was exactly what he was like in real life. It wasn’t an act,” she said. “He was just great.”

Powell concluded, “He was just our John. He used to make us laugh all the time. That’s what I’ll always remember.”

Ozzy publicly revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2020. Five months before his death, he shared that he was unable to walk as a result of his health issues.

“You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong,” he told The Guardian in May. “You begin to think this is never going to end.”

Ozzy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Osbourne, and his six children: Jessica, Louis and Elliot, whom he shared with ex-wife Thelma Riley, and Aimee, Kelly and Jack with Sharon.
