When it comes to family, Melissa Gorga will always hope for peace and healing.
Weeks after Teresa Giudice dropped the bombshell that she had plans to “meet” and “speak” with Joe Gorga and his wife after previously saying that the family would “never” reconcile, Melissa, 46, is curious to see what will happen next.
“I never really wanted this, and I’m always going to be team family always,” Melissa exclusively shared with Us Weekly on Thursday, October 23, while discussing Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition. “We’ll see what happens. We’ll see where it goes. I do think, for all of our children’s sake, I would love for everyone to get to a place of healing, and I would never root for this to go on forever.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers have had a front row seat to the feud surrounding the Giudices and the Gorgas.

While the two families have shared some positive memories on the Bravo reality show, season 14 ended in August 2024 with Joe, 51, and Melissa’s relationship with Teresa, 53, more fractured than ever before.
“It’s not any way to live, and it’s no way that I want my children to see, because we need to lead by example,” Melissa explained to Us. “I’m always for healing and to be continued.”

“I think it’s been enough time that maybe there’s room for conversation,” Melissa explained. “We’ll see what happens.”
Back in September, a source exclusively confirmed to Us that Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania and Melissa filmed with potential new cast members. Although Teresa, Jackie Goldschneider and Jen Fessler did not test-film, the insider said they “are still in consideration to be part of the new season.”
With BravoCon less than a month away, some fans are hoping for a major announcement in Las Vegas, where the three-day event is scheduled to take place.
For now, Melissa has little to no additional information.

That’s what’s so crazy. They know better than to tell us anything. … Whatever they decide, they decide, and I’m OK with it.”
When asked about a possible new season with both herself and Teresa, Melissa tried to stay mum.
“I feel like we need to get there, but always the core of that show has always been family, and it is hard to imagine it without being about the family, right?” she explained. “So, we’ll see. Bravo will decide.”
For now, Melissa is grateful to have the opportunity to participate in Bravo’s newest reality show, Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.

On Tuesday, October 28, viewers will watch the Jersey girl swap lives with disorganized vegan and Double Dutch enthusiast Michelle Clark.
“I feel like it really taught me about time and life lessons,” Melissa told Us when looking back on the experience. “Our lives are so fast. Joe and I move quickly. Our family moves quickly. So, I feel like it taught me to sit down. Every situation can be a conversation.”
