Mortgage rates rose marginally this week but remained below the 7% threshold, according to the latest Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Survey.

30-year fixed-rate mortgage rates averaged 6.89% as of May 29, up from 6.86% last week and down from 7.03% in the year-ago week.
