Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) Member of Parliament Supriya Sule on Tuesday (June 17) expressed dissatisfaction with Air India after experiencing a delay of over three hours on her flight from Delhi to Pune (AI 2971).
Taking to social platform X, Sule described the situation as “unacceptable,” citing a lack of communication, absence of timely updates, and inadequate assistance from airline staff.
“Travelling from Delhi to Pune on @airindia flight AI 2971. The flight is delayed by over 3 hours — no clear communication, no updates, no assistance and very bad service. Such delays and mismanagement are becoming a norm with @airindia. Passengers are left stranded and helpless. This apathy is unacceptable. Urging @RamMNK, @MoCA_GoI to intervene and hold the airline accountable. Travellers deserve better,” Sule posted.
The senior MP further criticised what she described as a pattern of poor service and mismanagement by the airline.
Calling for accountability, Sule urged Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to intervene and address the growing concerns related to Air India’s service standards.
In response, Minister Naidu stated that he had spoken to both the airline and airport authorities and instructed them to provide prompt assistance to the affected passengers.
Air India also issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and confirmed that it was taking necessary steps to support those impacted by the delay.
