Nifty50 within inches of 24,950 as bulls make a comeback on D-Street! Financial, IT, oil & gas shares lead gains

Share Market Today, Nifty50 and Nifty Bank Share Market News: Domestic equity benchmarks rebounded on Monday after two sessions of losses, as investors shrugged off nervousness among investors globally amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Strong buying in financial, IT, energy and metal shares drove the rebound on Dalal Street, though selling pressure in auto stocks like Tata Motors kept a lid on further gains in the main gauges.

The Sensex ended 677.6 points higher at 81,796.2 while the Nifty50 settled at 24,946.5, up 227.9 points for the day. 

BEL, HDFC Life, SBI Life, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, and Apollo Hospitals rose the most among the 45 gainers in the Nifty50 basket. 

On the other hand, Tata Motors, Dr Reddy's, Sun Pharma and Adani Ports were among the top losers.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys and Reliance were the biggest contributors to the gains in main indices.
