Nissan passes on GST benefit, cuts prices of popular Magnite SUV ahead of Navratri

After Tata Motors and Toyota, Nissan Motor has also welcomed the new GST rates announced by the Government of India. The company stated that it will fully pass on the benefit of the tax reduction to customers and has significantly slashed prices of its popular compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite. With this, the price of its top variant has been reduced by up to Rs 1 lakh, making this car more attractive than before.

The company believes that this move will not only stimulate retail demand but also contribute to the overall revival of the automotive sector. The new prices will be applicable on all deliveries from September 22, 2025 (the first day of Navratri), but customers can book their Nissan Magnite at the new prices at Nissan dealerships across the country from today itself.

Commenting on the announcement, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said: "This GST reduction is a timely stimulus for the automotive industry and a direct win for our customers. At Nissan, we are committed to passing on the entire advantage of this policy to consumers, ensuring greater affordability and accessibility."

"As we approach the festive season—a traditionally vibrant period for the market—we anticipate this measure will boost consumer enthusiasm and help drive sustained momentum in the automotive sector," he added.

Variant-wise discount

Post revision, the New Nissan Magnite Visia MT is available at under Rs 6 lakh. The New Nissan Magnite N-Connecta CVT and New Nissan Magnite KURO Special Edition CVT variants are now projected at below Rs 10 lakh.

In addition to the above-mentioned variants, the top end variants - New Nissan Magnite CVT Tekna & CVT Tekna+ are now accessible with a major price reduction of approximately Rs 97,300 and Rs 1,00,400 respectively, the company said in the official release.

With the GST rate reduction, the CNG retrofitment kit for the New Nissan Magnite is now accessible at a price of Rs 71,999, with additional savings of Rs 3000.

Adding to its appeal, Nissan launched the much-awaited Magnite KURO Special Edition, embodying the “Boldest Black” philosophy with an exclusive black exterior, refined interiors, and distinctive Japanese-inspired design cues, along with a new Metallic Grey colour option available in the Tekna, Tekna+ and N-Connecta variants.
