Ryk is an award-winning financial journalist with more than 25 years of experience. He currently serves as the editor of Moneyweb and hosts RSG Geldsake, the most widely listened-to business radio show in South Africa. Before joining Moneyweb in 2011, he was the national editor of Media24’s daily business publications. Ryk is a respected public speaker and facilitator, and a regular commentator on political and economic matters across both local and international media platforms. He specialises in financial investigative journalism and has won numerous journalism awards throughout his career. He holds an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University—both awarded cum laude.
