New photos show the investigation unfolding at the house where American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were killed, days after their bodies were discovered on Monday, July 14.
Pictures obtained by Us Weekly show an aerial view of the Encino, California, home, with police cruisers stationed outside and red police tape surrounding the property.
The house appears to be surrounded by a white fence with trees lining the perimeter and front walkway. A pool and outdoor patio are also visible behind the two-story residence.
Police were first called to the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue in Encino on Monday for a welfare check after Kaye and Deluca, both 70, had not been heard from for “several days.” Authorities discovered their bodies with possible gunshot wounds upon entering the home, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
“While there were no signs of forced entry or trouble at the location during that investigation, it is now believed that the suspect had gained entry into the residence through an unlocked door,” read a statement from the LAPD released the next day. “The victims returned home while the suspect was inside their residence, and a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives.”
“The victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot,” the statement continued.
The LAPD confirmed on Wednesday that it had arrested a suspect, 22-year-old Encino resident Raymond Boodarian, in connection with the double murder. Lt. Guy Golan confirmed to CNN that the suspect was identified “using the surveillance video at the residence, as well as some other forensic evidence at the scene.”
Police were also called to the home four days earlier to investigate a possible burglary, but they believe this to be an isolated incident.
“We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom’s, passing,” an American Idol spokesperson told Us in a statement on Tuesday. “Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”

A veteran music supervisor, Kaye had been active in the industry since the 1990s and spent more than a decade working on American Idol.
“It’s one of those parts of the business that people don’t even know it exists,” she said in 2017 at the 7th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. “It’s a very important part of films and TV. Pretty much everything in the entertainment industry has music in it and people just think that it’s there.”
Deluca, for his part, was also in the music industry, building his career as a solo artist. He began his career in Nashville before moving to Los Angeles in the 1990s and signing with Epic Records.
