Pink is getting sentimental on her husband’s milestone birthday.
The singer, 45, shared a rare family snap of Carey Hart with their kids, Willow, 14, and Jameson, 8, in celebration of his 50th birthday on Thursday, July 17. Alongside the photo, Pink posted a handwritten list of 50 things she loves about the freestyle motorcrosser.
“Happy birthday @hartluck just thought the world needed 50 more reasons,” she shared.
The list included things like “you’re kind to strangers,” “you show up for your children,” “you make your kids feel protected and safe always,” “you work really f***ing hard (work ethic insane),” “you’re a hero to many, but especially to these two kids,” “you have given me a safe place to land for decades,” “you are the same person in every room” and “the most important thing to you is family.”
Pink (real name Alecia Moore) added to Hart, “You have a beautiful smile, and the most tender, green-flecked beautiful hazel eyes, that no matter what you’ve been through, always stay soft and sweet.”
She signed off the post with, “Happy birthday… make it a good one… we love you… Alecia. Like a fine wine… you’re just getting started.”
Pink and Hart met in 2001 and got engaged in June 2005. They married in January 2006 and briefly separated in 2008, but rekindled their relationship a year later. They welcomed daughter Willow in June 2011 and son Jameson in December 2016.
In her 2021 documentary, All I Know So Far, Pink praised Hart for embracing fatherhood to the fullest.
“Part of the joy I get out of parenting is watching him be a parent,” she said of her husband. “I knew he would be a fantastic dad, but he’s way better than I thought he’d be. He’s incredibly patient. Otherwise how could he be with someone like me for this long?”
She added, “He steers Jameson in completely the wrong direction — it’s unsafe, it’s unsmart. He hurts Willow’s feelings every single day, but he is a great dad and he’s consistent, and he always shows up. He always says yes. When I’m exhausted and I don’t want to do something — I don’t want to play in the dirt, I don’t want to play with trucks — he’s like: ‘Yep, whatever you want to do, I’m there.'”
Hart has returned the favor, calling Pink “truly, the best I’ve ever seen do it” in a 2023 Mother’s Day post.
“The kids and I are so lucky to have you,” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “There is no hoop too big to jump through. Sometimes don’t know how you do it all, but I know we are grateful.”
