Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake official visits to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Maldives from July 23 to 26, 2025.

At the invitation of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, Modi will visit the UK from July 23 to 24, which will be his fourth visit to the country.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold wide-ranging discussions with his UK counterpart on the full scope of India-UK bilateral relations.

The leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Modi is also scheduled to call on His Majesty King Charles III.

The two sides will review progress under the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), with a particular focus on areas such as trade and economy, defence and security, technology and innovation, climate change, health, education, and people-to-people ties.

Following his UK visit, Prime Minister Modi will travel to the Maldives from July 25 to 26, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s third visit to the Maldives and the first visit by a foreign Head of State or Government since President Muizzu took office.

Modi will be the guest of honour at the 60th Independence Day celebrations of the Maldives on July 26, 2025.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will meet President Muizzu to discuss matters of mutual interest and review the progress of the India-Maldives Joint Vision for a Comprehensive Economic and Maritime Security Partnership, which was adopted during the Maldivian president’s state visit to India in October 2024.

The visit underlines the high priority India accords to its close maritime neighbour under its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and Vision MAHASAGAR.
