POWERGRID posts Rs 3,631 crore profit in Q1

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE, has registered a standalone net profit of Rs 3,653 crore, marking an increase of 7 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Its total Income came in at Rs 11,257 crore, up 4 per cent.

On a consolidated basis, the PSU’s net profit stood at Rs 3,631 crore and total income at Rs 11,444 crore.

The company said it incurred a capital expenditure of Rs 6,981 crore and capitalised assets worth Rs 1,683 crore (excluding FERV and including assets capitalised as finance lease) on a consolidated basis till Q1 FY26.

Its consolidated gross fixed assets stood at Rs 2,92,446 crore (including gross lease receivables), as of June 30, 2025.

At the end of Q1 FY26, POWERGRID and its subsidiaries’s total transmission assets stood at 1,80,533 ckm of transmission lines, 284 substations strategically located across the country and 5,66,831 MVA of transformation capacity.

With the use of state-of-the-art maintenance techniques, automation, and digitisation, POWERGRID said it maintained average transmission system availability of 99.84 per cent for Q1FY26.

POWERGRID ensures seamless transmission of electricity, thereby fuelling economic growth and prosperity.
