Railways extends special train services till mid-August — Here’s what passengers should know

Northern Railway has announced the extension of services for several special trains until mid-August 2025.

These special trains, which were earlier scheduled to operate until mid-July, will now continue to run for additional weeks.

According to the railway officials, the Mau-UMB Special train (05301), operating from Mau Junction to Ambala Cantt Junction, will now operate every Thursday from August 7 to August 14, 2025. Earlier, had train services were up to July 17.

Similarly, the return service (05302), Ambala Cantt to Mau Junction, will run every Friday, extended from the previously notified date of July 18 to now cover the period from August 8 to August 15.

Moreover, the Chhapra-MCTM Special train (05193), running between Chhapra Junction and Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Station, will now operate on Mondays, between August 4 and August 11, 2025. Earlier had its last service on July 28. The corresponding return service (05194), from Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan to Chhapra Junction, has also been extended from July 30 to now operate on Wednesdays, from August 6 to August 13, 2025.

Northern Railway has confirmed that all other operational details, including stoppages, timings, and coach composition, will remain unchanged.
