Romeo Beckham is raising eyebrows after his breakup with Kim Turnbull.
On Monday, June 16, Romeo, 22, shared a cryptic message via his Instagram Stories, posting a photo from the 1953 movie Roman Holiday with the film’s famous line, “What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency.”
Romeo added his own caption: “Be nice to people and don’t tell unnecessary lies” alongside a blown kiss emoji.
The post comes nearly two weeks after Romeo and Turnbull called it quits on June 4 after seven months together. Turnbull addressed the end of the pair’s relationship, as well as rumors that she also hooked up with Romeo’s brother Brooklyn Beckham, on Monday.
“I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to avoid adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on,” Turnbull, 24, wrote via her Instagram Story. “I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.”
She continued, “I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16. I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.”
Brooklyn married his wife, Nicola Peltz, in 2022.
Romeo’s relationship with Turnbull has been cited as a source of tension for the entire Beckham family. Brooklyn and Nicola requested a “separate meet-up” with Brooklyn’s parents, David and Victoria, last month to celebrate David’s 50th birthday. It’s believed Brooklyn and Nicola wanted to avoid being in the same room as Romeo and Turnbell, who were at the party. The event was also attended by David and Victoria’s two other children: son Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13.
David, 50, and Victoria, 51, rejected the idea and the family has been fractured since.

A source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month that the Beckham family drama played a role in Romeo and Turnbull’s breakup, which came three weeks after David’s birthday party.
“Romeo and Kim did split because of the family drama,” a source close to the family explained. “It was mutual. It was just too much pressure and tension looming over them.”
The source added, “It put a lot of strain on them and there was no path forward. It was unfortunate that it got to that point, but family comes first for Romeo.”
