Trump accuses Xi of conspiring against USA with Kim Jong and Putin—Truth Social post dissected

1 day ago 2

US President Donald Trump has once again penned down his thoughts directly on his preferred microblogging platform, Truth Social. In a post, the 47th American president accused China of conspiring against the USA with Russia and North Korea. “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against the United States of America," he wrote, in an apparent dig at the Chinese president.

His remarks came as China staged its record Victory Day parade in Beijing, displaying the Asian nation's military might and scale at an event attended by at least two dozen world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Many viewed China's move as a clear signal about its allies to the West.

'The big question...': Donald Trump posts on Truth Social as Putin & Kim Jong Un appear at Chinese military parade

The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China "will mention the massive amount of support and 'blood'" that the US gave China to help it to "secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader", wrote Trump.

He also pointed out that "many Americans died in China’s quest for Victory and Glory", he said. The 47th US president was referring to heavy sacrifices made by the Americans during WWII, particularly in the context of China’s fight against Japan.

"I hope that they are rightfully Honored and Remembered for their Bravery and Sacrifice!" he added.

"May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration," wrote Trump.

The development comes at a time when the world's second-largest economy has been positioning itself as a counterweight to Washington ever since the Trump 2.0 administration's "reciprocal" tariffs shook global trade.

His latest remarks were also in stark contrast to his repeated statements describing the United States' good relations with China.

Separately, Trump recently dismissed growing concerns about a potential Russia-China alignment against the US, foreign media reported.

For months, the US president has expressed frustration against Putin, stating that he was “very disappointed” about the outcome of his meeting with the Russian leader in Alaska meeting last month.

Trump arranged separate high-profile meetings with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in August, hoping to broker a solution to the ongoing war in Europe. However, those initiatives led to no solution. The meeting with Putin marked the first such arrangement between the US and Russian leaders since Trump’s 2024 reelection, and Putin's first visit to the US since 2015.

Meanwhile, China has avoided criticising Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and continues to trade with Moscow.
