Trump-Putin Alaska Meeting News: US President Donald Trump said he had a "very productive meeting" with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, after engaging in discussions with him in Alaska. The meeting stretched to several hours.
"We had a very productive meeting, there were many points that we agreed on... (A) couple of big ones that we haven't quite gotten there but we made some headway... There's no deal until there's a deal so I will call up NATO in a little while, and I will call up the various people that are appropriate," said Trump in a joint conference with Putin after the meeting.

Trump said: "I'll, of course, call President Zelenskyy and tell him about today's meeting... We made some great progress today."

"We'll probably speak to you soon and hopefully see you again very soon," said the American president.
Earlier, Trump shook hands with Putin after both leaders arrived in Anchorage, Alaska. After the handshake, both leaders left together in the same vehicle.
