U&i TWS-7227 Review: U&i has launched true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds—U&i TWS-7227— under its Classy series. The pair, which comes with a 1-year warranty, boasts Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, quad mic technology, Hi-Res audio, Type-C charging, and smart touch control. The price of the TWS-7227 is Rs 849.

Is it worth buying? Let's find out in this review.

U&i TWS-7227 Review: Premium design with sturdy build

Talking about the design, the case is a bit bulky compared to devices available in the market, but the build quality is incredibly good. In contrast, the buds are lightweight, comfortable to hold, and fit well in the ears. We found it to be a fair mix of stylish and comfortable.

U&i TWS-7227 Review: Connectivity options and smart touch control

U&i TWS-7227 buds are compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Each earbud has one physical button that offers single-press, double-press, and press-and-hold actions. However, in our view, the smart touch control button could have been more reliable–sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, at least that's what our experience was.

U&i TWS-7227 Review: Sound and call quality

The U&i TWS-7227 delivers an impressive audio experience for its price range. The sound quality is clear and immersive, making music playback truly enjoyable. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode works exceptionally well, effectively blocking out ambient noise and enhancing the listening experience. During calls, the performance remains equally strong. We tested the calling quality, and it went smoothly with crystal clear sound on both sides.

U&i TWS-7227 Review: Battery

The U&i TWS-7227 takes almost two hours to charge from 5 per cent to 100 per cent. We found the playback time to be around 3-4 hours. Also, the device discharges after approximately 3 hours of continuous call time. The case features a built-in battery, meaning you won’t need to plug in the charger once you place the buds inside the case. Also, the case is compatible with a Type-C port.

Now, let's look at the positives and the negatives:

Pros:

  • Stable Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity
  • Clear call quality
  • Hi-Res audio for rich sound
  • Convenient Type-C charging and smart touch controls
  • Light weight

Cons:

  • Touch controls sometimes do not work properly
  • Battery life could have been better
  • Case design could feel bulky for some users

U&i TWS-7227 Review: Experience

The U&i TWS-7227 performed well, meeting our expectations in the Rs 1,000 range. Going by call performance, these earbuds are quite good. The sound quality is also impressive for the price point. Thanks to their lightweight design, they are comfortable to wear, whether you're listening to music or scrolling through social media.

Final Verdict

All in all, the U&i TWS-7227 seems to be a good choice for those with a budget of around Rs 800-1,000 and looking for struggle-free connectivity, seamless calling, decent sound quality, and a snug fit.
