Filmmaker Mohit Suri’s latest release Saiyaara continues its strong box office run, and the success has drawn public praise from his wife, actor-turned-DJ Uditaa Goswami. In a social media post shared on Tuesday, Goswami acknowledged the filmmaker’s long effort behind the film and the challenges he has faced in recent years.

Goswami wrote that she generally keeps her personal life private, but felt compelled to acknowledge Suri’s dedication. “This moment didn’t come easy. It’s the result of years of patience, hard work, frustration, anxiety, and sleepless nights,” she noted in her post, adding that her husband had rebuilt his career by starting over on his own terms.

Saiyaara, which introduces newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has seen significant commercial success since its release on July 18. According to trade sources, the film has earned over ₹132 crore at the domestic box office in five days. It has also received largely positive reactions from audiences and critics.

Goswami also shared a short video featuring herself, Suri, Panday, and Padda sitting together, appearing to celebrate the film’s performance. The post also included a reference to Suri’s habit of listening to pop music as a break from his usual work, with Goswami noting that Katy Perry’s Roar was a frequent choice.

Saiyaara marks another collaboration between Yash Raj Films and Suri. The film tells the story of Krish, a temperamental musician, and Vaani, an aspiring journalist, as they navigate the complexities of love and ambition.

Goswami and Suri, who married in 2013, have two children. She stepped away from acting over a decade ago and currently works as a DJ. Their professional collaboration began with the 2005 film Zeher, directed by Suri and starring Goswami.
