The UK has reopened applications for its India Young Professionals Scheme from today, July 22, 2025. The scheme allows eligible Indian citizens aged between 18 and 30 years to live and work in the United Kingdom for up to two years. Applications for the free ballot will remain open till 1:30 pm IST on July 24, 2025.

Eligibility criteria:
To enter the ballot and be considered for the visa, applicants must:
- Be an Indian citizen aged 18 to 30
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Have at least £2,530 (approx. Rs 3 lakh) in savings
- Not have dependent children under 18
- Be able to pay the visa application and health surcharge fees
Application process:
- Enter the Ballot: Submit your application online during the open window. Each person may enter only once.
- Wait for Results: Entries will be picked randomly. Selected candidates will receive email confirmation within two weeks of the ballot closing.
- Apply for Visa: If selected, you must apply online within 90 days. Prepare your documents, pay fees, and book a biometrics appointment.
Additional information:
- The visa allows holders to work, travel in and out of the UK, and even take short-term study courses.
- If you turn 31 after your visa is issued, you may continue to stay in the UK until your visa expires.
