Vodafone Idea Q4 FY25 Earnings Preview: Vodafone Idea is set to report its financial results for the quarter as well as the year ended March 31 on Friday, May 30. Analysts expect the private sector telecom company to remain in losses amid a sequential fall in its average revenue per user (ARPU)—a key measure of a telecom service provider's income.

According to Zee Business research, Vodafone Idea is estimated to register a consolidated loss of Rs 7,161 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as against its net loss of Rs 6,609 crore for the previous three months. 

The analysts expect the company's March-quarter revenue to decline 1.1 per cent on a sequential basis to Rs 11,000 crore.

Vodafone Idea is expected to register fourth-quarter earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 4,582 crore, marking a quarter-on-quarter decline of 2.8 per cent, according to the research. 

The analysts peg its margin at 41.7 per cent for the quarter ended March 31, lower than its margin of 42.4 per cent in the previous quarter.

According to Zee Business research, Vodafone Idea's ARPU is estimated to decline by Rs 9, or 5.2 per cent, to Rs 164.

Average revenue per user determines the amount of income generated per subscriber.

It is a key measure of top-line for telecom service providers. 

The metric is calculated by dividing the revenue figure by the number of subscribers. 

Zee Business research expect Vodafone Idea's subscriber base to shrink by 30 lakh sequentially during the quarter.
