Fans are finally getting their wish as a fourth installment of the Meet the Parents franchise is officially in the works — and the cast is already quite impressive.
The sequel, which is titled Focker In-Law, will of course feature some returning faces, including Ben Stiller and Teri Polo, among a few new additions to the franchise like Ariana Grande.
Part of the plot of the upcoming movie “revolves around the son of Stiller and Polo’s characters, who gets engaged to a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
“The Focker family is expanding. See #FockerInLaw only in theaters Thanksgiving 2026,” the film’s official Instagram account captioned a casting announcement video in July 2025.
The first film, Meet the Parents, follows Gaylord “Greg” Focker (Stiller) as he navigates his relationship with Pam Byrnes Focker (Polo) while seeking approval from his in-laws, Dina Byrnes (Blythe Danner) and Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro).
Greg and Pam get engaged at the end of the 2000 film, and in the sequel they prepare for their wedding by introducing their parents to each other. Greg, Pam, Jack, Dina and Pam’s nephew, Little Jack (Spencer and Bradley Pickren), drive down in an RV to meet Greg’s parents, Bernie Focker (Dustin Hoffman) and Roz Focker (Barbra Streisand). Jack is quite judgmental toward Greg’s parents, as they are more eccentric than him and Dina. Pam reveals she’s pregnant ahead of the wedding. After some drama with Jack, Greg and Pam are married in a ceremony performed by her former fiancé, Kevin Rawley (Owen Wilson).
In 2010’s Little Fockers, Pam and Greg are in their parenting era, raising twins Samantha and Henry and plan on moving into a new home. After a ton of family drama, Jack and Dina and Roz and Bernie all reveal they will be moving to Chicago to be closer to their grandkids.

Ben Stiller
Stiller will be reprising his role of Greg in Focker In-Law.
“I think what spurred the idea was that at this point in time, I’m the age that Bob was when we did the first movie,” Stiller said during a Today appearance in June 2025. “Teri is the same age [Grande] was when we did the first movie, and it felt like this sort of mirrors in the first film in terms of the fact that my kids are grown and one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family.”
Robert De Niro
The Oscar winner is also confirmed to return to the franchise as Jack. He teased several scenes with Grande.
“Half the things — the scenes that I have with her will be singing scenes,” De Niro said on Today.
Blythe Danner
Danner is all set to appear in Focker In-Law as Dina.
Teri Polo
Polo will be once again stepping into Pam’s shoes in the Meet the Parents sequel.
Owen Wilson
Wilson will be back as Kevin, Pam’s ex, in the upcoming installment.

Streisand was asked if she was interested in playing Roz again in the fourth movie.

“Oh my God. They’d have to pay me a lot of money because I didn’t get paid what the other people got paid and so I’m pissed off,” she told Variety in June 2025. “I was in the time when women were getting paid less than the men. The head of Universal was Ron Meyer at the time, and he actually sent me a bonus check. It was very sweet.”
Dustin Hoffman
It has not yet been confirmed if Hoffman will be joining the original cast in the fourth movie.
Ariana Grande
Grande is the latest addition to the franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grande will play the fiancée of Pam and Greg’s son.
