5 Sexiest Netflix Movies You Have to Watch Right Now: 'Dirty Dancing' and More

I mean, it’s all in the title, isn’t it? This classic romantic dance film stars Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey as a young woman and the sexy dance instructor whom she falls for. The plot takes place in 1963 and follows Grey’s Frances “Baby” Houseman, a teenager whose vacation to a Catskills resort turns into something far more scintillating when she falls for the dance teacher (Swayze) who teaches the resort’s entertainment staff.

Aside from the fact that it’s a film from the ’80s with surprisingly progressive themes for the time period, Dirty Dancing is also a great film about women learning to embrace their sexuality through Baby’s plotline. The romantic chemistry between Swayze and Grey is also the stuff of legends, with both of the beautiful young actors in their primes. And yes, the dancing is indeed very dirty.

Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) is a fussy dressmaker in 1950s London who crafts some of the most sought-after gowns for royals, socialites and celebrities, while moonlighting as an aloof bachelor. His world turns upside-down when he falls for Alma (Vicky Krieps), a German waitress who captivates him, but will also not play quietly along with his mind games.

Phantom Thread might outwardly seem like a mannered romantic drama, but it is actually a psychosexual tug-of-war, a dance between domination and submission — and it’s the subtle way that it’s portrayed that makes it all the more titillating. Paul Thomas Anderson‘s ravishing film is anchored by simmering romantic tension that begs for relief, but is only shuffled along by a gorgeous Johnny Greenwood score that aches with longing.

Gary Johnson (Glen Powell), a mild-mannered police contractor for the New Orleans police, helps authorities with sting operations, but his day job is teaching psychology at a local college. When an undercover cop at the station is suspended, Gary is inadvertently ushered in as his replacement as a pretend hit man, soliciting people who are seeking murder-for-hire and then preventing it. But things become complicated when Gary falls for a woman (Adria Arjona) who wants her abusive husband killed.

Hit Man is not only a laugh-out-loud rom-com with a killer comedic performance from Powell, it is also disarmingly sexy. The chemistry between Powell and Arjona is delirious, and director Richard Linklater gives them plenty of scenes to show off their powers of seduction while heaping on romantic tension. The film also handily solidifies Powell’s prowess as a leading man — perhaps an erotic thriller for him next?

Match Point stars Scarlett Johansson, one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood during the height of her career so — what’s not to love? In the film, Johansson plays Nola Rice, a woman who begins an affair with her soon-to-be brother-in-law (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), both of whom come from modest backgrounds in contrast with their wealthy fiancés. But both characters are morally vacuous, and it’s a race to the bottom to see who can be the most moved by lust and greed.

A fascinating commentary on class, fidelity and fate, Match Point is a twisty psychological thriller with a killer femme fatale role for Johansson. The love affair between Nola and Chris is throbbing with desire, with both actors looking better than ever. It also doesn’t hurt that their performances are fantastic and the screenplay is sharp, making Match Point an engaging story as well as a sexy one.

I think it should be a consensus that Bram Stoker’s Dracula is one of the greatest and hottest tragic romances of all time, and director Francis Ford Coppola depicts the doomed love affair between Mina Harker (Winona Ryder) and Count Dracula (Gary Oldman) with the proper amount of unrealized yearning and palpitating lust. Coppola transforms Dracula from a villain into a romantic anti-hero, with Oldman portraying him as a debonair lover. Plus, Monica Bellucci as a vampire is (literally) to die for.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula follows solicitor Jonathan Harker (Keanu Reeves), who goes to Transylvania to finalize a real estate deal with a mysterious man named Count Dracula. But when Dracula sees a photo of Harker’s fiancée, Mina, he believes her to be the reincarnation of his lost love, and he has to have her for his own. Dracula imprisons Harker and sets off for London and his new bride.
