Police in Atlanta are working hard to track down thieves who allegedly stole unreleased music from Beyoncé out of her choreographer’s car this weekend.
On Monday, July 14, WSB-TV 2 Atlanta reported that Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant and one of her dancers, Diandre Blue, told authorities thieves broke into the pair’s SUV and stole several items — including drives that hold unreleased music as well as past and future set lists and footage plans for the singer’s Cowboy Carter tour.
The theft took place less than 48 hours before Beyoncé’s first show in the city on Thursday, July 10.
The pair also told authorities they parked their rental car at the Krog Street Market around 8 p.m. on July 8, before the theft took place.
“Mr. Grant advised he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,” an officer wrote in the report. “He advised he was her choreographer and Mr. Diandre Blue was a dancer for her and that her hard drives for her upcoming show in Atlanta were stolen also. The hard drives contained watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show and past and future set lists.”
The pair also said clothing, laptops, sunglasses and AirPods Max headphones were among the stolen items. Authorities were able to track the headphones to an undisclosed location, the news station noted.
“I conducted a suspicious stop in the area, due to the information that was relayed to me,” an officer wrote in the report. “There were several cars in the area also that the AirPods were pinging to in that area also. After further investigation, a silver (redacted), which had traveled into zone 5 was moving at the same time as the tracking on the AirPods.”
On Monday, July 14, authorities stated the suspect(s) could have rented a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra with a Georgia license plate.
