Celebrities React to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Engagement

Hollywood is buzzing over Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement.

Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced the exciting news via Instagram on Tuesday, August 26, sharing photos from the garden proposal. One photo showed Kelce kneeling in front of Swift with a ring box in one hand as she cradled his face, while another snap showed the lovebirds resting against each other’s foreheads. The post also included a close-up of Swift’s engagement ring — an old mine brilliant cut designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry — as well as a photo of the couple hugging and a snap of Swift with her legs thrown across Kelce’s lap.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the caption read.

Their celebrity pals, as well as stars who are fans of the beloved couple, were quick to react to Swift and Kelce’s announcement, which came after nearly two years of dating. Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, was among the first to share her thoughts, as was Alyssa Milano.

The Survivor alum, known as “Boston Rob,” took to Instagram with throwback photos of himself and wife Amber Brkich, whom he met on the reality show.

“May your torches always stay lit! 🔥 Congratulations @taylorswift @killatrav,” Mariano wrote.

Charlie Puth

Puth reposted the announcement via his Instagram Stories with the caption, “Congratulations Taylor and Travis! This is the best part of life. So happy for you both!”

Martha Stewart

Stewart and her Martha Stewart Weddings page teamed up to share one of the couple’s engagement photos, as well as a clip of Stewart drinking champagne and saying, “The nectar of the gods.”

Gracie Hunt

The daughter of Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt told People that she “can’t stop smiling.”

“Travis and Taylor’s engagement feels like a modern fairytale unfolding in real life,” Hunt said. “Their love story has captured so many hearts, and now it’s stepping into an even more magical chapter.”

Boone gave Swift a shoutout in the caption of his Instagram post celebrating the Chicago stop on his American Heart Tour.

The NFL also congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his fiancée. “Congratulations to Travis and Taylor 🤍💍,” the organization wrote via X, sharing one of the engagement photos.

The Polish tennis player, who is known to be a huge Swiftie, was asked for her reaction to the news at the 2025 US Open.

“I’m so happy for her, oh, my God,” Swiatek said of Swift. “She deserves the best.”

Abrams paused her Tuesday, August 26, concert in Mexico City to congratulate her friend and collaborator Swift on her engagement.
