NFL star Justin Herbert and pop singer Madison Beer cuddled up courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game, further fueling romance rumors.
Herbert, 27, and Beer, 26, stepped out at the basketball team’s Friday, October 24, home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, sitting in the front row beside one another. Beer rocked a plunging black halter with coordinating jeans and heeled boots for the occasion, often resting a hand on Herbert’s knee while taking in the courtside action. (The Lakers ultimately won 128-110.)
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, for his part, sported a black jacket with light-wash denim jeans, white sneakers and a backwards-facing baseball cap.
While neither Herbert nor Beer have publicly commented on their relationship status, they were first linked earlier this summer. The pair were first spotted together in August during a series of outings, including one where Herbert visited Beer on the set of her latest music video. (Us Weekly reached out for comment at the time.)

Beer’s music video for “Bittersweet” dropped on Monday, October 20, the first from her third studio album.
“Locket, my new album, will be yours 1.16,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, October 22. “I really can’t believe I’m sayin’ this. This album means the world to me, I’ve never been so proud or excited about something [and] I am soooooo beyond excited for u to listen. This project is my world and metaphorically / literally my heart.”
Kevork Djansezian/Getty ImagesAccording to Beer, the songs on Locket chart “a real roller-coaster.”
“I think the album has such duality. There are songs that are upbeat but still emotional,” Beer told Vogue in a profile published earlier this week. “I got a lot of inspiration from songs off my last album that really didn’t perform all that well in regards of streams. They weren’t my biggest songs, but I’d have crowds of thousands of people singing every word at me every night while I was on tour, which put things into perspective a bit. We all hope that things take off and become hits, but it gave me more confidence that they will be listening regardless.”
Beer further revealed that she was “going through a breakup” when she wrote the majority of the songs for Locket. (Beer was last linked to TikTok star Nick Austin, but it’s not known when they went their separate ways.)
“[It was] a pretty up and down relationship that was quite intense,” Beer told Vogue. “I get a little bit weird sometimes about writing about people, just because we live in a day and age where people can piece together who it’s about. … I think I’ve tried to be careful because even if I go separate ways from someone in my life, I try to not go too hard on the lyrics, and I try to toe a fair line.”

The album title itself also reflected Beer’s experience at the time.
“When I picked the name, I was thinking of things that were just real and genuine to me,” she explained to the outlet. “And to be honest, I was going through my camera roll a lot, and just seeing the things I photograph most often or gravitate towards. I really love vintage stuff, I love antiques. I feel like lockets are very delicate and beautiful, and feminine, and they hold important things, memories, people and places, and it just felt like the right title. I actually picked it before I’d even written a lot of the album.”
While Herbert presumably didn’t inspire Beer’s breakup songs, he is supportive of her forthcoming release. After Beer posted a teaser of her song “Yes Baby” via Instagram on September 16, Herbert subtly dropped a “like” on the upload.
Herbert has also long preferred to keep his love life quiet.
“I think the less people know about me, the better. I don’t want to read an article about myself,” he quipped to ESPN in 2021.
