Commercial space design platform Flipspace gets $50 million funding from Panthera Growth Partners & other investors

Flipspaces, the global tech-led interior design and build venture, has raised $50 million funding in its expanded Series C round, according to an official statement.

In the fresh round, UAE-headquartered CE-Invests, Singapore-headquartered Panthera Growth Partners, and Japan-headquartered SMBC Asia Rising Fund participated, the company said today, September 8.

Flipspaces plans to utilise the money to scale the business in India, the US and the UAE, deepen supply chain integration, and enhance the company’s proprietary technology stack with AI-led interventions. The company also plans to for strategic acquisitions in adjacent categories.

"By utilising SMBC’s customer network and financial functions, we aim to create new value through multifaceted collaboration including expanding Flipspaces’ customer base and providing financial support such as supply chain financing to its partner companies," said Keiji Matsunaga, general manager of Digital Strategy Department, SMBC.

Founded in 2015, Flipspaces is a global interior design and build venture transforming commercial real estate through technology. With operations across India, the US, and the UAE, Flipspaces claims to have delivered over 1,000 projects covering 8 million+ sq. ft. Its clientele includes enterprises, startups, and SMEs across sectors such as IT, retail, education, healthcare and financial services.

In the startup space last week, Colive, a Bangalore-based co-living startup, has partnered with Bain Capital and Sattva Group to establish a pan-India co-living real estate platform of $100 million. As a part of this strategic partnership, Colive has raised $20 million funding spearheaded by Bain capital.
