The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are underway at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, and several performers and winners have taken the stage.

Doja Cat kicked off the evening with a performance of her song “Jealous Type,” while Lady Gaga was declared the winner of the coveted Artist of the Year award. The “Bloody Mary” singer stopped by the awards show to accept the accolade before heading over to Madison Square Garden for the sixth stop on her Mayhem Ball Tour.

“I wish I could stay and watch all these amazing performances, but I have to go back to Madison Square Garden,” she said at the end of her speech.

While Doja Cat and Lady Gaga are similar heights, other stars who stepped on stage at the 2025 MTV VMAs are a bit taller or shorter.

Tate McRae Is 5-Foot-8

McRae won Song of Summer for her single “Just Keep Watching.” She later took to the stage for a performance of her songs “Revolving Door” and “Sports Car.”

Alex Warren Is 5-Foot-10

Warren took home the award for Best New Artist. He later performed his songs “Eternity” and “The Ordinary.”

Busta Rhymes Is 6-Foot-1

Busta Rhymes, the winner of the first MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award, performed a medley of his hits, including “Pass the Courvoisier Pt. 2,” “Scenario” and more.

Sabrina Carpenter Is 5-Foot

Carpenter performed her hit song “Tears.” She’s up for nine awards, making her one of the show’s top-nominated artists this year. She later won Best Album for Short ‘n’ Sweet.
