Inside Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas' Relationship Timeline

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas initially had a working relationship before it developed into something more.

After a few public sightings of the pair in spring 2025, a source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly in May that a “low-key” romance was brewing between Cruise and de Armas.

“[It’s] still new and in the early stages,” the insider said. “Their romance is definitely on the down low.”

The source added that Cruise and de Armas met through their Hollywood circles over the years. De Armas even received the nod of approval from Cruise’s ex Penélope Cruz, whom he dated from 2001 to 2004.

“Penelope put in a good word for her both personally and professionally,” the insider said, noting that Cruz “raved” about de Armas.

The source also explained that de Armas had met with Cruise to discuss work-related matters in February 2025 — the same month they were first spotted out together — before their “relationship developed.”

Since the romance was confirmed, de Armas and Cruise have gushed about each other’s work, and they even took a trip to Woodstock, Vermont, where de Armas owns a home.

February 2025

Cruise and de Armas were spotted having dinner together in London the night before Valentine’s Day, according to photos published by the Daily Mail. At the time, de Armas was rumored to be dating Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. She and Cuesta were photographed holding hands in Madrid a few days later.

March 2025

Cruise and de Armas were photographed arriving via helicopter at the London Heliport on March 15.

April 2025

One day before de Armas’ 37th birthday, the actress was seen exiting a helicopter in London with her two dogs, according to a video published by TMZ. Cruise then exited the pilot’s seat, hinting that he had flown the aircraft.

Cruise and de Armas were also spotted at a park and a Mexican restaurant the following day.

May 2025

Cruise and de Armas were spotted together at David Beckham’s 50th birthday party on May 1.

Two weeks later, on May 14, a source told Us that Cruise and de Armas had “gone out on some dates and it’s very low-key. It’s in the early stages and he’s been courting her.”

However, the insider also noted that de Armas had been “cautious” and was “taking it really slow” after her romance with Cuesta ended. (De Armas never publicly commented on the status of her relationship with Cuesta.)

“It’s very private,” the source said of de Armas’ relationship with Cruise, adding that “they are protecting themselves from the intense media scrutiny.”

On the same day the relationship was confirmed, de Armas answered a question about Cruise in an interview for the first time.

“It’s so much fun, and we’re definitely working on a lot of things,” she said on Good Morning America when asked about the Mission Impossible star. “Not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. I’m so excited.”

Cruise also reviewed de Armas’ movie From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, telling reporters at the Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning premiere on May 15, “I saw the movie, which kicks ass. Oh, man, it’s right in that tone. It’s right in that big world, and you’re gonna love it.”

July 2025

Cruise and Ana were spotted vacationing together in Spain in mid-July. Later that month, they attended an Oasis concert in London and traveled to Woodstock, Vermont, where they were spotted holding hands.
