Jason Kelce is his wife Kylie Kelce’s No. 1 cheerleader.
“Sports build character, way to go Ky!” Jason, 37, wrote via X on Saturday, August 9, sharing ESPN footage of Kylie, 33, speaking about the importance of women’s athletics.
Jason, who has been married to Kylie since 2018, punctuated his social media post with three drooling-face emojis. The “Not Gonna Lie” podcaster, who has not publicly responded to her spouse’s thirsty commentary, attended the Gotham FC vs Washington Spirit soccer game solo.
“Anyone who has ever played sports knows that you are encouraged and feel like your best self when you are out there playing the game with your teammates,” Kylie, a former field hockey player turned high school coach, told ESPN. “These athletes out here are the perfect example of people working hard, playing toward a common goal with their teammates, and these are the women that my girls will have the opportunity to look up to.”
She continued, “I am forever grateful to the women who are standing up for women’s sports around the world.”
Kylie and Jason share four daughters: Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2 and Finn, 4 months. Kylie gave birth to Finn in March, two months before the retired Philadelphia Eagles center let Us Weekly into their family’s bustling dynamics.
“Now, I’m more experienced. Travis [Kelce] and I didn’t have any sisters,” Jason exclusively told Us at the Amazon upfronts in May, referring to his brother. “We had no first cousins growing up, so I was not around a lot of young girls. So it’s been new for me, but now it’s pretty standard.”
While Jason noted that his four daughters are “all so young” at the moment, he is excited for all the milestones down the line.
“I just can’t wait to watch ’em grow up together, and Wyatt is now starting to get older, get into the sports, more active, more out and about,” Jason said. “So definitely looking forward to the summer, getting her in summer camps and starting to really embrace that next phase of growing up.”
Kylie, for her part, believes Jason was always meant to be a girl dad.
“I think he has a very skewed idea of women, which is probably why he has four daughters,” she quipped on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in April. “It’s why he was blessed with four daughters. The universe said, ‘He doesn’t get it. We need him to get it.’”
She added at the time, “With only a brother, and then the only females in his house were his mom [Donna Kelce] and his dog. I don’t think that he understood women in a way.”
