No, your eyes are not deceiving you: Kate Gosselin is officially on TikTok.

“Hi guys. A lot of you are wondering if this is actually me and my account. I just [hopped on] really quick [to] let you know that this is actually my account,” Gosselin, 50, shared via TikTok video last week. “I’m just waiting for TikTok to verify it. So, if you’re wondering, if you’re checking out, and I don’t blame you, because I do it too, know that it is my account.”

Gosselin teased that followers shouldn’t expect much about her eight kids to pop up on the social media site since she’s in a new era: dog mom.

“There’s going to be a lot of dogs on it and kids, but mostly dogs and me. I’m in my German Shepherd dog mom era. Is that how they say it? You know what I mean,” she said. “Anyway, it’s me. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks.”

Gosselin added in the caption: “In case you’re wondering, this is actually MY account…. #Kateplus2 #kateplus8 #Meikathegsd #gsdoftiktok #workinglinegsd #blackgsdsoftiktok #nanuqthegsd.”

The former reality star, who earned national attention alongside her ex-husband Jon Gosselin and their eight children on TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 in the 2000s, seemingly joined the social media platform on July 13, posting a photo of one of her German Shepherd puppies. Since then, she’s shared a lot more canine content, as well as GRWM videos and throwback pictures of her kids.

Kate shares twins Mady and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, 21, with Jon, 48. After divorcing in 2009, Kate was granted primary custody of their children and starred on the renamed version of their show, Kate Plus 8, which ran for five seasons until 2017.

Jon and Kate then endured a contentious and public custody battle, in which both parties made accusations of abuse and mistreatment. Despite Kate being granted primary custody, Hannah and Collin eventually moved in with Jon after drama with their mother.

Jon reportedly has no contact with his other six kids. He told Us Weekly in October 2024 that Hannah speaks with her siblings, while Collin does not.

“Collin will hopefully repair that [relationship],” Jon told Us at the time. “It’s a two way street. You know what I mean? He’s offered the olive branch, so hopefully the olive branch will be returned.”

As for his own relationship with his estranged kids, Jon said, “Every time I’m in New York or whatever, I reach out and try to get some stimulation from my twins or whatever. Maybe one day it’ll just happen, but we’ll see. We talk about it a lot. Holidays are coming and maybe that’ll happen.”

In September 2024, Collin claimed Kate was “physically aggressive” and “verbally” abusive to him as a child.

“My mother had a room built in our unfinished section of the storage basement. She had a room put up with cameras in it, a tiny window in the corner and it was bolt-locked from the outside,” Collin alleged to the U.S. Sun in September. “It was like a containment room, literally, and it had a mattress on the floor and that’s how I lived.”

Collin also called his childhood “rough” and alleged that he was “100 percent treated differently” than his siblings. (Us reached out for comment at the time.)

Kate‘s lawyer Richard Puleo told the U.S. Sun in a statement at the time that she would never “intentionally harm” Collin. “She did what she did to protect herself and her family,” the attorney added, alleging that Collin showcased “troubled behavior” as a child.

As for Jon’s thoughts on the matter, he stood by his son, telling TMZ, that he is “moving forward” but likely wouldn’t have a conversation with Kate because there’s “so much animosity.”

“He’s doing really well,” he added. “That was like closure for him, I believe.”

“Of course I love [all] my kids,” Jon told Pix11 News in October. “But I want the best for them and to be healthy and I would never want them to split between parents or put themselves in harm’s way. So, if that would make it uncomfortable for their living situation, then I’ll just wait until they’re out of the house.”
