Kendall Jenner Rocks Nicole Kidman's 'Moulin Rouge!' Dress on Vogue Runway

Kendall Jenner channelled her inner showgirl at Vogue World: Hollywood 2025, stepping out in a familiar theatrical costume.

Dressed in the same crystal-encrusted black and white corseted gown worn by Nicole Kidman in 2001’s Moulin Rouge!, Jenner, 29, grinned as she strutted down the annual event’s Paramount Studios runway in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 26.

Tapping into the character of Satine, portrayed by Kidman, 58, in the Baz Luhrmann-directed romantic musical, Jenner pouted and placed her hands on her hips as she dazzled a celebrity-studded crowd that included Dakota Johnson, Mindy Kaling, Jennifer Connelly and Rita Ora.

Kidman, who is the fashion magazine’s October cover star, also appeared on the runway as the opening star, sporting a Chanel by Matthieu Blazy black satin bustier gown paired with a red lip and old Hollywood-inspired curls.

Jenner made sure she attributed her scene-stealing look to the actress, taking to her Instagram Stories in the late hours of Sunday to post a still of Kidman in character as Satine while wearing the Moulin Rouge! piece. The model followed the photo with two additional Instagram Stories that captured herself during a pre-show fitting, grasping the bodice of her outfit to reveal its intricate diamond-studded details.

Kidman also marked the event via her own Instagram account, sharing a carousel of photos and videos that included a shot of herself posing next to Luhrmann, 63, and Vogue’s global chief content officer, Anna Wintour, prior to the event’s start.

The carousel also included behind-the-scenes footage of Kidman, who starred alongside Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge!, during a photo shoot as she playfully pouted and swung her hips for the camera.

Jenner’s Moulin Rouge! tribute followed her show-stopping work at the recent Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. Taking to the runway to close the show on October 2, Jenner wowed in a sheer gown with a nude mesh base that flashed major flesh. She paired the look with a black g-string, opera gloves, strappy heels and gold earrings.

As for Kidman in recent weeks, the actress has kept her down in light of her ongoing divorce from estranged husband, Keith Urban. Us Weekly confirmed last month that the Big Little Lies star and Urban, 58, called it quits after 19 years of marriage.

A source exclusively told Us on Friday, October 24, that Kidman is in a “good headspace” amid the pair’s separation, despite facing significant challenges. “The hardest part is navigating the dynamic with their daughters,” the source told Us, referring to Kidman and Urban’s daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

The insider continued, “The last thing Nicole wanted was a broken family … [Kidman] raised her daughters to be strong and is leading by example for them.”

The source also noted that Kidman has kept “very busy” amid the split, adding that her career serves as a positive distraction. “She is pushing forward in a good way,” the insider revealed. “She isn’t necessarily trying to find her new normal throughout all of this, because they had been quietly separated for a while now.”
